Mango SEO WordPress Integration Setup

Mango SEO WordPress integration allows content generated in specific tools to be used to create new WordPress posts. WordPress integration also includes view, edit, and delete functionality. Integration use Basic Authentication requiring Username and Password.

Step 1 - WordPress REST API Plugin

  1. Login to Mango SEO

  2. On home page click 'WordPress'

  3. On pop-up form Download the Mango compatible WordPress REST API Plugin via the 'download cloud' icon

  4. The plugin is downloaded via browser

  5. Install/Add plugin (as a .zip file) into WordPress and activate

Step 2 - Establish Connection

  1. Login to Mango SEO

  2. On home page click 'WordPress'

  3. On 'WordPress Authentication' form:

    • Enter WordPress admin account username (this maybe the username or username email)

    • Enter WordPress admin password

    • Enter WordPress website domain (eg https://examplesite.com)

    • Posts are published by default. Uncheck 'Publish Posts' to post as draft.

  4. If connection successful redirect initiates to WordPress Post Listing

  5. If unsuccessful page refreshes, check credentials and start over.

Trouble Shooting

Integration may not be suitable for WordPress Multi-Sites

Integration built for modern web browsers, for best performance use Google Chrome

Cloudflare

If you are using Cloudflare with WordPress and the integration cannot be established it is like due to the 'Bot Fight Mode' being activated. This needs to be disabled.

Contact support if connection between Mango SEO and WordPress cannot be established after following this guide.

Beethoven & WordPress

When connection with WordPress established you can view, edit, and delete WordPress posts.

To generate a new blog post in WordPress using Mango SEO click the WordPress icon after content has been generated in Beethoven (Beethoven Step 2).

The new post can be viewed and edited within Mango.

Important!

It is highly recommended that you logout of Mango when the finished working with WordPress. Logging out ends the integration session and deletes all authorization credentials.

It is best practice to always keep regular backups of your WordPress site. You never know when you may need to restore content or settings.
